Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
The ice/water where it was pulled from. That's a huge fish! What's the last pic of?
You don't say!The ice/water where it was pulled from.
Ahh I see.the last pic is them setting up to spear the fish. the bait. and spear. would be very fun. and to think living in wisconsin ive never fished for stergeon.
One of the very best tasting fish I have ever eaten. Back in the late 70's we use to catch many of them in the ~75 lb. range along the west coast of WA. Sturgeon can live in salt or fresh water. We caught them in the tidal areas, but I have talked to divers who have seen very, very large fish behind some of the dams along the Columbia River, meaning those fish have lived in fresh water for their lifetimes. That is one big fish!
Do they taste good?
