Anybody here have a backyard pond or plan on building one this summer? If so lets see it. Koi ponds and water gardens are considered hobbies so if you're proud of yours post a pic.

I think it would be cool, but my dog really likes fish. So that's a no-go. Chuck has one, tho. I thought I remembered him saying something about it a while back.

True story, this.

My girlfriend and I went to one of her co-workers' homes for a dinner party last summer. We're standing at the edge of the husband's backyard pond ... three waterfalls, a small fountain, about 20 koi. He's bragging on it, and says to my girlfriend "they're not really hard to do if you're at all handy." She responds "Oh, Brad could definitely build one, I've no doubt he has the skills." He goes "well, you should get him to build one!"

Her reply? "Are you ****ing kidding me? Giving that man carte-blanche to build a body of water in the backyard that could hold fish? Step one would be getting rid of the patio to build a casting platform."

Nobody got it but me.:disappoin

Almost a year now. The ground cover has grown in and the big koi are huge. The smalled gold fish are just that, feeder gold fish that are now 1/2 pound.
