  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

yeah but if you were there for a long time im sure he lit up something pepin
I had a couple Pepin products while I was there as I'm a big fan of his work, but I also had a couple Opus as well..

As far as the picture and cutting off my finger, it does look that way, but if you look how far my hand is back on the leaf and where the knife is on the front of the leaf, well, you can see it's just an illusion in the pic. It sure was a fun day though, and Janny is smokin' hot!

What was cool for me was Senior Pepin took one of my blue band lanceros and removed the wrapper and replaced it with a Connecticut wrapper and added a pig tail. He told Janny (his daughter) to tell me that it's the only one he's ever done that way and will never do another. He also did mention during the process that it was a shame as the wrapper that was on the cigar was perfect. Damn salesmen! The pic below is the lancero with Pepin and myself after it was done.

I wish some south east retailers would start carrying Pepin products and hosting events. I live in Virginia and I have to usually buy off the net.

Well, it was quite an experience.

Rene showed up, and as Wade said. Didn't speak a lick.

They didn't have the materials to do the barber pole thing. But it was still a great time and quite a bit of fun.

Here is a pic of Joe and I with Rene.

Thanks for the information up front. It was nice to be prepared.

Looks like a good time. What are those colorful glass vases on the wall behind you?
You have a very keen eye Dave. And it makes me wonder.

They call them Huka Pipes. I call them Bongs.

Big hype here with the kids and smokin fruit. Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaa, fruit???

I think they are gettin ready to send these things packin. Not what you want in your B&M to add more issues to what we as cigar smokers are trying to protect.

Anyhow, was a great time.

See ya

I acctually have a hookah, for smoking fruit flavored tobacco. I am surprised to see them in that shop. Mostly sold head shops, or cigarrett shops. The demographic of a shop that hosts to Don Pepin is not going to be interested in those or matbe even put off by them. They do look like bongs.

They're all over the place here. I don't know if we have shitty coals, shitty tobacco, or both but I hate hookahs. Plus I don't like the taste of flavored tobacco. Do they make tobacco flavored tobacco?

Looked like fun though. So does Rene smile?

We do Hookahs at the lounge I work at, they're a pain in the ass. Basically it's a molasses based tobacco with artificial flavors. You fill the vase with water and plug a couple hoses with tips to suck on into the hookah. Then the shisha (tobacco) is placed in a small bowl and placed on top of the hookah. We cover the shisha with alum foil and then punch a bunch of holes in it, but there's commercial covers as well. A hot coal is then placed on top of the foil, heating the shisha and creating steam which is what the kids smoke. At least at our lounge the hookah smokers are 18-20 something, I've never seen older people do it at our lounge.

Last nigh I got lucky and only had to set up one hookah! God I hate those things.
