Can butane "expire"?

Found a Colibri butane refill can in one of the recesses of my house. I'm guessing it's between three and six years old! Bad idea to use it? I know cans aren't expensive, so I'll be buying more anyway... but was more curious than anything.

True enough...was only worried it might somehow be bad for the lighter. But I guess there is only one way to find out...
