  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

OK, i just ordered these. Cheapest shipping option was $9.75 from Miami to Ohio...UPSP Priority.

I figure even if i get six $2 sticks it's still a good deal. They claim to be sending 6 of this month's best selling cigars. They sell a lot of good stuff, so it could be jsut about anything. Possibly some good ones in there too. We'll see. I figure i'll be happy as long as they aren't flavored cigars.

I'll let yall know what i get when they get here in a few days.

These are their bundle cigars... you get Old Fashion which is $1 cigar and another cheapo bundle cigar... this is CVM pulling a Thompson on you!

Pretty much. For serious cigar smokers who shop around, Thompson's is one of the last places to go. WAY overpriced and their bundle smokes tend to be the bottom rung of bundle smokes. Cigars International and JR Cigars are two places that easily surpass Thompson's for price and quality. Thompsons relies on the uninformed smoker as their bread and butter customer.

I ordered these a few weeks back, and they are they're own cigars and a couple no name/bands. Ive had one or two and they weren't horrible..but not very good either.

Thanks for the feedback. I mostly trade with CI, Cigar.com, JRs, and Holt. (And a few dozen bids at CBid:waving: )

There is no shortage of internet or B&M/online retailers out there. Those are some of the biggies and you shouldn't have any issues there. Just be careful with CBid. :eyebrow:

Well sort of, you have to pay shipping and I don't know what their "shipping and handling" costs come to. It would not let me register and I got a weird error page. Plus you don't know what cigars you're actually getting. If shipping is like $5 though who cares right?

Geesh! Thanks for bursting my bubble.

So, who want's some free cigars?!?! lol
I whish I saw this earlier. I did this a few months ago and I found out why they give them away. Hey we live and learn.

LOL, no harm no foul there bball. If they can't tell the difference, why waste the good stuff? That's like offering someone some George T. Stagg and having them promptly dump it in Coke.

Yep, I do keep a handful of cigars that some folks smoke just because I am smoking one. I have these ready for the folks who have dicrased a good cigar before and then they get the dog rocket next time.

Never heard of stagg, but after a quick research, i may have to try some out. I'm a whiskey lover. Not a connissuer by any means, but a lover. I'm a Jim Beam man...cut my whiskey teeth on that stuff. But have acquired a hankerin for things a bit smoother. And im sure there are tons of things smoother than JB.

Well, so as not to derail this thread, head on over to this one and you can get some more information. Plenty of Whisk(e)y drinkers (both) on the site.

I still enjoy Scotch, but I'm mainly a bourbon man now.

I've always done the same, but i've also always tried to keep it respectable and not give them something T-Totally terrible, in the hopes that they may like it. From the sounds of things, these "free" cigars may be beyond the limits of good taste. Maybe i'l lkeep em for people i just flat out don't like.
