How rare are they really?

I've heard of people having trouble getting this super premium or limited edition, but around here it seems like we can just about always lay our hands on what we want. I may have to check out 2-3 B&M's, but I'll find it.

Some rare stuff comes and goes but I can just about always find Opus 90%+, Padron Aniv. 100%, VSG 100%, ESG 90%+, Maximus 100%, Vision 100%, La Aurora Anos 90%+, etc.

I was woundering if this is because I'm in South Florida and near the beginning of the supply chain, or if they just are not that rare after all.

How do your areas stack up?

The smokes you listed are available, It will be certain particular lines of Opus or others that may be more difficult. Limiter runs of this certain size, in a certain wrapper or something. Like try to find an Opus Chilie pepper, that might be harder than looking at 3-4 B&ms.

I agree on the chilie peppers and such, I've been wanting to try a BBMF for a while and they can't be had around here. I've seen Opus going on Ebay for like $30 bucks for a power ranger. Is it a City vs. town thing?

No problem getting those smokes. I would really consider those rare, but thats just if you ask me. Now try going to your local dealer to find noella reservas, or 858 sgs, or DC lanceros, or even something like the liga privada #9 and you will run into more trouble/ maybe never see a box or a stick in your lifetime. I dont really consider any of those you named that limited, like DPrice said some sizes of Opus's, but Anejo's are harder for me to find, and real limited releases tend to be widely available for a period, then gone. Or just really hard to get all the time, like 858 SGs.

Up here in the north, i can find quite a bit as well at teh handful of b&ms that i frequent. The DC maximus is readily available, as are the vsgs. there's one b&m that has maybe 6 or 7 stanfors 90th left. the esgs are only at a couple stores. the padrons are readily available as well. the opus are quite difficult. i've not been to a b7m that had more than 2, maybe 3 different sizes, and that was only in the winter. They go quickly once warm weather hits. i haven't seen an opus in a b&m up here in about 2 months. The anejos are even harder...but that may change with father's day right around the corner.

I have trouble finding a b&m that carries full lines of tatuajes and DPG stuff. Vegas cubanas and El Rey de Los Habaons i've only seen at one shop, and that was all they had from him. No tats. No DPG labels. Most of the b&ms have a couple different sizes, but not all of them. I have one i go to in pittsburgh that carries jsut about everything from both, including cabaiguan, but it's the only one. Cojonu, verocu, reserva, RC, red, brown, white along with DPG blue, white and black, and padilla 8/11 and 1932.

Not that rare really. jsut hafd to find in certain places at certain times. Rare would be hard to find nationwide...like tat blacks, for now.

The 858's SG is the only one of your list I've seen in a B&M around here, and they are gone. Your correct.

I have on B&M here that has most sizes of Opus all the time and even discounts boxes to an almost reasonable price. A few on your list, I'm not very familiar with so I've not noticed them, but I may have luck if I try to get them.

Perdomo, Don Carlos, Padilla, La Gloria, etc. all have factories or distribution centers around here. Altidas is HQ here and my company deals with them profesionaly so I know some reps.

I used to live a few miles from the Perdomo offices which kept a humi open to the public in Miami lakes and ran into Nick and some other big shots there on occasion. A manager even gave me a culebras once - strange braided thing.

So other than what is listed already, are there any others I should buy on sight or ask about?

I paid 131 for a 5er on cbud when they first started selling them. i think they go for a little less now. i looked at a 5er of the toros just yesterday and i think they went for around 110. 22 a stick is pretty good imo. retail with the humi is at 30 stick. I thinking aobut getting another 5er. only have 3 left and they are a great stick.

i just got 2 fivers of the dbl robusto (my favorite size) for 125 each i think. So 25 a stick....

I guess that isnt to bad :dunno:

What is crazy is the fivers of sharks and such going for 120+

858sg's can be had, not necessarily at B&M's, but you can find them if you look, now the Rosado...that's a whole new story. I've only got two left, and dread smoking them as they are just flat out fantastic.

There was one on cbad about a month ago that didn't sell. it was priced at 45 with 10 shipping. I put it on my watch list and forgot about it. i was willing to pay 55 for it. i was a littel bummed i forgot about it.

I ahve no idea what a realistic price for one is. I would guess around 35 or 40 each.
