  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ok, so I know that they pass out alt of free samples at IP Rescue Breathing, but what about the top notch stuff? I'm pretty sure they didn't pass out samples of the Opus Love Story. I also haven't heard anyone say they tried Pepin's new My Father cigar. Did they not pass out any of those, or did they save them for the "important" people?

yeah, good question there. What were the freebies you punk bastads got?!?! All us civilians got to see was Tylers video. No reports about who met who, who talked to who, who shook who's hand. Nothin'!!!

You bunch a tight lipped bastards. What? Yall got lock jaw all of a sudden?!?!

OH, i guess wade did tell us his most favoritest cigar was the coffee dipper. If that was the highlight, the IP definintely needed the CPR.

I got a nice sampler from Ashton, smoked nearly a dozen Zino platinums at the Davidoff booth, got a couple Cruzados from Dion, Got a couple of My Fathers from Jaime, and got to try the new cigar being released from Palio - the "Essencia". I think that the Cruzado and the Essencia were the highlight of the show as far as cigars are concerned.

Of course, neither booth had any hot models. Unless you think Dion is hot.

What would it take to get a MF from you?
Sorry dude, I smoked one at the show (which really wasn't a fair test), and have one to smoke later - hopefully my palate will clear up sometime this year.

I don't have any to trade. Although, I am sure they will be in retail shops soon.

I hear the Essencia stole the show, and with the limited amount being produced quality, taste, and construction are sure to be top notch. I can't wait to get my hands on a box of each of the 4 sizes:drool:

I think it was the highlight of the show.

I suspect these will be very sought after cigars when they are released to Palio dealers.

It is also nice that they are only supplying Palio accounts (or something like that) with a majority of the cigars.

They are really good.

Allegedly, they will be shipped to those retailers that sell Palio products. I hear they are tasty also, but haven't tried one yet!!!!! As for who is making them, BOTL LLC will not say who is making them... Keeping it a secret!!! Heard that one from Dale and BOB DWCS.....

I am fortunate enough to work as a marketing director for a retail store in Anthem AZ Havana Cigars, I also startd my own magazine cigarcompanero, and got some nice information at the IPCPRA but sorting thorugh it all is very time consuming, I am currenlty working on a interview I did with Manny at Ashton on the La Aroma de Cuba new edition and will be in our next issue, I will be contacting most of the ones you mentioned such as Don Pepin and the Father cigar and the Love Story info, I actually will be heading down the Fuente Farm first of next year, and something you didnt mention that was wel guarded is the new Fuente Aged Selection, if you can let us sort through all the material and it was a lot we will report on as much as we can. there was some really good stuff coming around and one that is very low key but going to be a huge hit is the Lucas de Meester C4, which I am working with Don Lucas personally to get this on some shelves at the shop I work at and we will be doing a live web broadcast it looks like beofre the end of the year piped into our store and our magazine. Hang out and check out the mag back issues while you are waiting for some good stuff,, anybody that is hip on sending me questions on anything to ask manufactureres ,,feel free cigar@cigarcompanero.com

I met a lot of people, I got to sit and talk with Manny form Ashton for about 30 minutes and Jose Blanco of La Aurora for about 30 minutes that took up two mornings as they really only liek to talk whiel not selling whcih is their main objective there. I did ge a littel time with Don Pepin and Pete Johnson, Carlos and Carlito Fuente, Jorge Padron, CAO John Huber, the Graycliff family, and some others, I got to meet for the first time face to face Rolando Reyes Sr, probably the oldest cigar maker alive today.

I am working every night and doing as much as I can as afast as I can but our next issue is due out Sept 15th so hoepfully I will have it packed with info, oh yeah Arganese Cigars will be making a signature cigar for Joseph Gannascoli (Vito Spatafore from the Sopranos) and David Caruso is talkign with a company to do a signature cigar also.

And we got to see Lynyrd Skynrd at the CAO party and I didnt take my camera thinking they wouldnt allow it in evne though i had a press pass, but everyone had one and took some pretty good shots I imagine, a photographers dream where the band lets you take photos all night, I lost my voice almost the next morning,

stay tuned and I will sort thorough and any info or question in paticluar feel free to send me and i will tyr to get answers !! cigar@cigarcompanero.com

oh yeah Pinar has a 4000 Post Castro cigar and one called Hot Kiss that has a jalepeno hint to it, it was awesome,

the best new ones I smoked so far from the ICPCR, Renassiance by Rocky Patel, Hot Kiss by Pinar, and the Ashton La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial

plenty more to go through looking forward to the Factory Press from La Flora Dominicana, if your local retail store didnt order them at the show you will probably have to search for them, they are 150 to a box so supply is limited,,

back to the grind for maybe anohter hour,

disfrutar
