  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

WTF is the Champ?

I heard of an all ligero cigar for sale but can't remember the name of it. I'm almost sure it tastes like shit but it's going to be strong.

Well isn't the Tatuaje Thermonuclear an all ligero stick?

To me for a regular production stick to me it's almost a three way tie for LFD DL, JDN Antano, and Camacho Coyolar Puro. With the Camacho maybe a hair stronger than the other two.

Those are three of the strongest for sure, I had a LFD DL Reserva this morning with the paper and coffee. The Camacho I haven't had in a while and everyone tells me the JDN is there allthough I've never had one.

I have not had the Camacho Coyolar Puro but I have had the other two and the JDN is the stronger of the two from MHO.

I had one just after a light sandwich the other summer and I had to put it down, just too much.

Can't imagine why anyone would want to smoke a cigar that made them feel like they were sucker punched by Mike Tyson? I can remember smoking a cigar years ago that put me in bed for about 6 hours and there was nothing pleasurable about it. Wonder if that makes me a girlyman?

We've got a few of the LFD Double Ligero Oscuro As in stock at my shop, and they're pretty strong. 9" long, too.

I've got several boxes of those Tyler...they are good cigars especially if you can get a box with an early stamp on the bottom like SI/SI or SC/SI.

I have some DL Chiselitos and Coyolar Super Toros and each of them I have to be in the mood for them. If I try and light one up after a few too many drinks they end my night real quick. The sad thing is I will do it again because it's tough to think straight when I'm three sheets to the wind.

Saying three sheets to the wind just reminded me of a show on the Mojo network called "three sheets". Do you guys know if that show is still on? It was a dude that traveled around and basically got wrecked with the locals on the cultural booze.

I've had the JDN a few times and it wasn't too strong for me to smoke again, so it's probably not that one. On the other hand, I did have the smallest size available rather than a robusto or double corona.

Difficult to judge for me...

I would second some obvious for out & out strength:
JDN, LFD DL's, Gurkha Triple Ligero (good call!)...

(But none of these have made me ill.)

Sometimes cigars just 'hit me' differently depending on when, how fast and after how many...

Cigars that have made me a bit green:
Padron 40th (5th that day)
Padron 1926 nat #1 (after LFD DC)
DPG Cuban Classic (Early in day - no food)
Graycliff Chateau Grand Cru (Early in day - no food)
Partagas Lusitania (4th of day)

Trinidad Toro maduro...NC variety

I barely made it through half of it...and that was after about 8 days of smoknig 2 to 3 a day, so i was definitley in good smoking shape.

Well you can't blame the cigar for that...
