I am ready to crown the Gran Habano Corojo #5 Fumas 20 for 30 bucks (CI) the best deal in the business. If anyone can name a better cigar for 1.50 I would like to hear about it? And I dont want any lame stories about 50 cubans you got from a guy that died! I am talking about something I can buy right now.

:grinFU:

Here are some:

Flor De Oliva Panatelas (7x38)
25/bndl = $32.99 ($1.32/ea)
Nicaraguan with Sumatra wrapper, excellent value cigar
http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/search/stats.cfm/inum/23599

Tabacalera Tropical Factory Direct Corojo Robustos (5x50)
20/bndl = $26.95 ($1.35ea)
My go-to everyday stick, Nicaraguan Corojo, flavorful but not too stout
http://www.lynncigars.com/CigarListTable.htm#FacDirBund

GR Specials Red Label Coronas (6x54)
25/bndl = $29.59 ($1.18ea)
Costa Rican/Nicaraguan, Columbian binder, Habano 99 wrapper, from Gran Habano
http://www.rockyscigars.com/catalog.asp?prodid=509875

The first two are long filler, not "sandwich style" like the Gran Habano Fumas. The GR Specials I *think* are long filler, at least I don't remember spitting out any tiny bits of tobacco leaves <shrug>.

The Flor de Olivias are great sticks for the money, never had the GHC Fumas, might have to try those out.

These are my everyday cigar and I burn thru about 2 a month. Great blend and the construction is amazingly good. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Uh, natural tobacco sweetness? :wtf: I dunno, I didn't write that fuggin web page, I just linked to it because of the price.

It's not flavored/sweetened tobacco if that's what you're worried about--wtf do you think I am, a chick? :hysterica

LOL! That was actually meant to read "...I burn thru about 2 bundles a month."
Sry for the missunderstanding.

Has anyone tried the Rocky Patel Fumas? They are about $1.50 a stick (a little cheaper on CBid). I have a 5er but haven't tried them yet.

But I get 5 Vegas Classic and 5 Vegas Gold for about $1.63 a stick, and I SERIOUSLY doubt any short-filler or sandwich can top that!

Until I tried the Gran Habano Corojo #5 Fumas I would have agreed with you. I would have said 5 Vegas Gold is the best deal. I would say the Corojo is at least twice the deal, you should try it if you like the regular corojo from gran habano.

I have enjoyed the Gran Habano line in the past.. I like the Holts Fumadores by Pepin for a sanwich or short filler.

I love those as well (have smoked several boxes worth) but they didn't meet the requirements of the O.P. because they cost a bit more than $1.50/ea.

Not if you got in on their sale a couple of weeks ago, $29.95/box. Sweet deal and a nice smoke, especially at that price.

The Corojo #5 is a wonderful cigar. I'm particular to the robusto. I would recommend them as the perfect low-cost, premium cigar. The greatest part about them is their complexity, which is usually sorely lacking from less expensive cigars.
