  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

CAO cammi is one I like. Alec Bradley makes one in its Trilogy line with great flavor and a nice price point.

If you want UBER cheap, then how about the Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend? I won a whole box amounting to about $1.50/stick, lol. It uses Cammy filler as well, which seems kinda unique. If you haven't tried one, I can toss one your way. Won't be the in same league as the DC, of course, but at that price is mighty tasty.

...Then again, you're probably a Packer's fan...so who knows what crazy stuff you like.

Huh, It's looking like the DC stands in a class of its own. I have tried most all of the cigars you guys have mentioned. I guess There is no real good DC standin. Guess that's why they go for what they do, they are one of the best.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Fuente 8-5-8 :scratchhe . I have always thought of it as the Poor Man's Don Carlos.

Please tell me if I'm crazy (wait for the question though!)

Last week I had a Torano 1916. I loved it, but thought it reminded me of a Rocky Patel Vintage '92. I figured it was a fluke. Last night I had another Vintage '92--and it really did taste similar to the Torano to me!

The wrappers are totally different (Cameroon vs. Sumatra). The Vintage was more complex I thought, but the Torano was a little stronger in that similar flavor.

So am I crazy of is there a similar taste here?

Maybe just slightly!!:hysterica

I have had several of both. and I never got similarities between the two. But your palate will pick out different things.

Vperman, is that a cameroon cigar, I thought it was just a natural wrapper?
Fuente describes it as Natural, but according to websites like JR's, the wrapper is actually Cameroon. I started looking into it after smoking one. I normally smoke maduro, and occasionally candela, 8-5-8's. So, when I smoked a natural, the taste was really noticeable, and I thought, "Hey, this tastes sort of like a Don Carlos."

Don't light one up expecting to think you're smoking a Don Carlos, or you'll probably be disappointed. But if you go in with an open mind, I think you'll like and and see the similarities.

I completely forgot all about these:

La Aurora 1495 Series Cameroon '94

Once they're gone - that's it. I think it's a fantastic Cameroon - & over 14 years old.

A box of ten can usually be had for $50 - which is 50% off msrp.
