  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Dave, I got you covered on this one when I send you the other package......
I have a few left in a box and I am no longer smoking them......

Pete
Pete,
Your generosity is astounding. Just so all you BOTL's know, I called Tatuaje/Havana Cellars with the intention of getting something (really anything) signed by Pete and wishing my friend and b&m owner Hal Happy Birthday. To my absolute astonishment I answered a phone call the next afternoon and it was Pete himself returning the call. He was more than willing to help me with my request. I can say with certainty that there are very few people that is are as busy as Pete must be that would take the time to personally return a phone call to Joe Schmoe from North Carolina. That was easily the coolest phone call i have ever received. Pete was as cool as you hear he is and I wish now that i had remembered to ask him some of the many questions I have about various aspects of the cigar industry, his business, etc. This is the kind of guy that you love to support. He consistently puts out incredible sticks, is the industry leader, and still remains a friendly, thoughtful individual. This whole experience strengthened my love of Pete's cigars and heightened the admiration i had for him as a person. So, Pete, thank you again for everything that you have done for me (including the bonus of the LE05). I wish that there was something i could do to return the favor. I truly hope that i will have the opportunity to sit down and smoke a stick with you sometime in the future.

As for the Tat Black.....the Robusto or "event cigar" as i have heard it called is the best cigar i have smoked to date. It exemplifies perfection.

Dan is working on getting a sampler put together that will include a black label. Judging by the name he's chosen for the sampler, i'm gonna go on a limb and say that this will have several of pete's really, really good sticks in it. I would guess a J21 will certainly be in there, and maybe a cojonu.

I forget what all he told me, but it sounds like a small dream list.

He better not sell you a fiver of them blacks or i'm gonna have to kick his ass. He tells me no everytime i ask, and that's often.

stanford 90! can't find it anywhere!!
We've got at least two boxes of them in at our shop, Jeff. As long as you're talking about the DC Stanford's 90th.
They're $30 a pop tho.

As for me, I'm constantly searching for a Davidoff 80 Anniversario. They were only made in '86, which is my birth year. I really want one in the cedar tube. I would probably save that for my 50th birthday or something.

Refer to post #21:grinFU:
Yup, I'll have to give New Havana a call. The trouble with that is if I place an order with NHC, it doesn't really make sense to pay shipping on only one cigar, so I'll have to throw in a fiver of the ELO3s, and maybe some Illusiones, and I might as well try El Triunfador . . .
