  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

If you're thinking fuller-bodied, I would go with a 5-5/8 x 46. I always associate lonsdales with finesse and elegance, but CGs are the perfect powerhouse cigar.
Whatever you do decide to go with, you know we'll buy it up!

I think a medium-strength cigar with a bold flavor would be nice (something you could give to someone and not kill them with, anyway).

And I still cay a Corona.

I"M wondering how he's going to label a 3rd CG. Rigth now he's already got the EL #2, a corona gorda. he's got the ELO #4 which is a slightly box=pressed CG, and then if he goes with this as a CG, it'll make a 3rd CG. From Dan's perspective, that would be too many of the same size cigar, regardless of what you call it, it's still another corona gorda. I realize the ELO #4 is limited and will eventually run out, and it will probably even do so before this new blend comes out, but you never know when another batch of that ELO #4 might come through. Look at Crown Royal...they just keep finding more and more of that Extra Rare that they claim they found in a barnt hey thought burnt down...how many tmies are they gonna find it?!?! Anyhow.

And another lonsdale?? He's already got the EL #1. Panatela, lonsdale...

I agree with Tyler about the finesse thing too.

I still vote petit robusto.

or maybe even better yet, how bout a 5 5/8 x 54. Now that would really mess with peoples heads, eh Pete? Is it a guapo? Is it a xxxx? What is it?? Plus, i believe that size will fully accept the strength that Dan likes. i'm no blender, but i think thats an accurate statement.

A beli or Torp just doens't appeal to the masses in terms of size, most people either like it or they don't. The figurado is the same way, only worse, IMO. But that's purely just my .02

And yes, NO band, NO box...wheels of 50 wrapped in wax. Keep the cost way way down. Go to Esteli too.

I personally love smoking a really great cigar without the band on. In fact, i take all the bands off before i smoke, unless its one of those ones that's stuck and will rip the wrapper if you take it off. Just my preference. i like a cigar for the tobacco, not the band. makes me enjoy it for being a cigar, not a cigar with a fancy name and band. Helps me enjoy it better, takes away the bias.

Now this would not help in keeping costs down, but how about a petite perfecto? Something like a Preferidos No2 or 3 (my choice) size. The word fireplug comes to mind.

Something medium Strength and the size of a Jibaro. I liked the feel of that cigar.

Keep dreaming on that one dave. You're not going to get medium strength out of Dan. He likes to be knocked on his arse.

He recently told me a story where he compared 3 cigars side by side at the same time. That's three cigars burning at the same time. The Tat reserva J21, which is a cupcake compared to the other two, his new EL robusto and his EL #2, both of which are full-bodied. He nubbed them all and ended up passing out.

Medium isn't in his vocabulary.
