Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Wish I could, staying in Leesburg with family then visiting friends in Orlando and Tampa, not going to leave much time for anything else unfortunately.Nice... Take a little jaunt out to Miami and see Little Havana!
Not sure, buddy that I am meeting is bringing one to the course for me.Enjoy the trip and the Opus, which vitola do you have lined up?
Yep, IMHO Opus and golf just dont mix. For me an Opus is 2 much for the course and you just cant enjoy it.That first Opus should be saved for the 19th hole when you can really enjoy it.
+1 here. For your first Opus especially, I would save it for a little later. That first Opus should be saved for the 19th hole when you can really enjoy it.
I figured it to be on the heavy side from what I have read about them and what the brothers here were saying. But like you said when he hands me an Opus I am not going to say no, but I may see if I can dip in to the 5er first, hehe. And a hearty breakfast is never a problem...Personaly I would find an Opus too strong for 10:30 Am. It's one of those smokes you want to just sit and relax with. That way you can get into the little nuances that make Opus so special. Of course do what you want and if you buddy is bringing you one and wants to smoke it right then, then I suppose you should just smoke it, but eat a hearty breakfast first.
hahaha, thanks gummi, of course my game can be a trainwreck on its own at times.Bah, you can smoke the Opus on the course. If "I" can do it, surely you can.
One tip though: be sure to eat first. Else you'll feel like a trainwreck during your round after smoking the Opus.:skew:
Glad you had a good time.Back from vaca, back to work(uggh). Had a blast visiting old and new friends as well as family. Smoked 10 or 11 great sticks down there, including my first Opus, and it was incredible(bold, spicey, chewy delicious). Worst part was getting on the plane at 80 degrees and getting off the plane at 60 degrees.
Forgot to add golf scores, shot 87(triple-double the last two holes), and hacked out 93(no mullis, ball down, no gimmies, straight up golf), both on courses I had never played before. The second round was so windy the sand was coming up out of the bunkers at times. I hit a 6 iron from 130 and barely got to the back of the green.
