  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I Think You Guys Gave Up Info On Your Shops And Got Swindled. I Didn't Bother Posting My Shops Info. But Damn Nice Way To Get Free Info. Promise A Gift Then, Bypass The Delivering Part. Lol. :applause:

The sad thing is that at this point it might not even matter if the cigar is any good or not. Of course, that is if it ever came...Which at this point it probably never will. I almost want to tell my b&m that if he calls to just disregard him.

Me too, of course if we were swindled for the info, he has most likely already called them.

Just my .02 cents (was a buyer by trade for years) if you are going to send out samples you make sure they are tops. And a cigar rolled a week or two ago is not in my book.

Give the poor thing a chance to rest, marry flavors a bit, dry for an even burn. Hell it will not even be the same cigar in a couple of months from now so what are you reviewing? If it would be a good cigar and you have them reviewed before their time, it's asking for a show killer.

If they are good, they have a great slogan though... Cedar aged for a whole week!

The poor thing should have been resting for the month or two prior to his initial offer. Then i have to wait a week or so, that is if it ever comes, while it reacclimates to my humi. There are too many other cigars out there that are good bargains with good, prompt salesmen and customer service. I am afraid i have to put the bullshit factor on this one at about an 8. If I do get the cigar I might get around to reviewing it by mid 2009.

Very interesting thread. I finally tooko the time to read it.

What a bummer.

I'm gonna go out on another limb here and say that these guys are just getting started in the business and are off to a rocky start. Best of luck to them...they've got a big hurdle to cross already...having cigars to sell.

Cesar has been rolling cigars for many , many years. He used to run the shop behind the Alddin in Las Vegas. He carried a few of his own in the shop of which I have smoked a few. The shop was put up for sales at a huge price following the change of smoking laws in Nevada. They tried to convert the walk-in to a smoking area but it just didnt work. This is the first I have heard of where Cesar landed. I dont know this other guy but Cesar was a stand up guy. I will try and see in the second week of Novemebr when I am in Vegas. Too bad. His cigars we pretty good and this move was stupid at best.

Well I am sorry to report that due to personal issues Cesar was not able to ship the samples last week as he told me he would do in our meeting. Now this week has not returned my emails or calls.

As originally promised I never contacted any of the B&M shops that I was given information on and won't until I get the reviews up. If you don't believe me feel free to call them yourselves to see if I have.

Somehow this free offer has generated a good deal of undue animosity toward me, emails and comments such as: "I really wish you were actually not a jerk." are out of line as I have been nothing but honest.

Please understand I was asked to offer this specifically to you here at BOTL by Cesar. I have no control over him or the rate he chooses to ship the samples, but I have never let up in my pressing him to complete this. When we last discussed it I was told they were wrapped, mellowed, and he was buying tubes to ship them.

Nothin' but love for the BROTHERS.
