  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

These cigars intrigue me. I've never had one, and I'm looking for a "budget" smoke for every day rotation. I've heard nothing but good things about these, but I'd really like an honest brother's opinion about them. I'm interested in getting the Panatela and Robusto sizes to throw in the rotation. Can anyone give their input on them, or suggest something with long filler of similar value that's done as well as these?

I have had a few and they are pretty good for a cheaper smoke, I would give a five pack a try and see how you like them.

There are good $3 cigars and there are bad $3 cigars, but in the end it is still a $3 cigar and its $3 for a reason. Set expectations accordingly and you'll be happy with the FDOs I think...

I also like them. Some (maybe all) of the Golds have a sweetened tip which I didn't care for but the Corojos I had were excellent. If you like Oliva G or V then you should do yourself a favor an give these a try.

I love the Flor De Olivia Panatela....I buy 'em at FAMOUS-SMOKE

They're one of my main go-to bundle sticks now.

These were one of the first cigars that I ever smoked, and they have remaine in my daily rotation. Just love 'em.

I've smoked these for the past 3 years and I was surprised at their quality. The gold are the best and I smoke the Torpedo (6.25X50). They are popular smokes and sometimes hard to find. $75-95 for 25. They are NOT Olvias, if you look on line you must look at "Flor de Olvia". Good Luck.

The other one you might try is Perdomo Fresco, this is a maduro Torpedo (6.25X50). They are $85-100 for 25. The Perdomo is the better of the two, but that's my opinion. Try'em and let me know what you think.

Bill, not to be argumentative, but the Flor de Oliva's are still made by Oliva. We carry both as well and I find that the Oliva is much better than the Perdomo but we all know that cigar tasting is subjective.

Also Bill - CI and other online retailers have Flor de Oliva bundles for under 40$.
