  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I had the unfortunate experience of trying to smoke a 2006 Tat Artista (Thanks Diesel!!!) after I used this highly volatile floor adhesive. I think it ruined my sinuses to the point where I couldn't taste the cigar. I managed to smoke 1/2 of it before trying a fresher stick to see if it might be the stick. It wasn't. Oh well, lesson learned.

So what else ruins a good smoke for you guys. I don't want to make another mistake like this.

Bothersome people insisting to talk to you while you are trying to smoke.
Really? I go smoke at the local B&M and we usually have pretty interesting conversations. As long as the person isn't babbling about why they really like the color magenta, or some other nonsense, I enjoy a friendly talk while smoking.

I am talking about unsolicited conversation. I deal with people all day long. When I do get to smoke it is a personal alone time thing for me. If I am smoking with friends or others I have no problem talking and enjoying a smoke!

An inconsistent burn.

When i have to payt close attention to where the next run or canoe is going to develop, it takes a huge amount of pleasure out of the smoke. I'm worrying about which way to hole it, which way the wind is blowing, rotating it while i'm drawing, relighting it...worrying about everything but the flavor.

A bad burning cigar drives me nuts.

Most consistent pain in the a$$ thing for me is a plugged cigar. I seem to get at least one a month. Hate that!

and on the other end of the spectrum, when there is loose spot in the wrapper that allows too much are in. you keep turning and turning to try to find and cover the spot so you're not just sucking air.
luckily that doesn't happen as frequently as it used to. think maybe i'm smoking a little better quality of cigar now!
