Damnit, Not Again!

I got laid off today! 80 people got laid off this week and they finally got around to the wood shop. Fourteen woodworkers were laid off indefinitely, but they say that they hope to call us back in the spring. I'll have a new job by then and would not go back for fear of being laid off again anyway. It really sucks, I loved that job, was proud of what I did and made and put my all into it. Our shop supervisor had a hard time telling me, I know the decision wasn't his, he hated to see me leave.

On the positive side, tomorrow I'll get out in the mail all the stuff I'm late on, sorry fellas.

The President of the company was let go yesterday as well. These layoffs were supposed to be done in October and they weren't. Omar was not pleased that they weren't done, so he got them done and fired the guy who dropped the ball as well!

That sucks Wade, I'm sorry man. 2 weeks before Christmas...douchebaggery at it's finest.

The economy is rough right now. I haven't had a job in 3 years (part of the reason I got into the stay-home-dad buisness...I was a pastor previously, and churches have NO money these days). My father was laid off last year as well.

I know you've been there before, and you'll bounce back again. But I am sorry, it totally sucks.
