  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Would you smoke it?

So the other day I'm sitting in my local B&M watching the game finishing up my smoke and I notice in the ash tray next to me is a barely smoked CC, a Monte #2. I pick it up and notice the head is dry. Would you clip it and smoke it?

I would have to say, NO. First that is gross, second like stated that guy might have run out for a couple minutes and would be really pissed off to see you smoking his cigar. did you smoke it?

Well, I had been sitting there for 1.5 hours, so I didn't think he was coming back and no I didn't smoke it. I figured if it wasn't good enough for him to finish, I didn't want to smoke it either. Plus that is kind of gross.

Not no way, not no how. It's not that it's been smoked by someone else, meaning, I 've shared smokes many times in my life. So If I was going to smoke it, unless the head was f'ed up somehow or soggy with spit, I wouldn't even clip it. But I would never pick that up and smoke it, more afraid of bad jokes, mean people and various other reasons. I just wouldn't smoke it. But not because it was smoked by someone else. However, I don't re-light a cigar if it's been "out" very long. I think relite cigars suck!
Hell I'm an old guy, and I still share a smoke with a friend every now and again...Know what I mean Vern?

I would consider it but in the end probably not
How many times have I seen a great cigar barely smoked and just hanging there in the ashtray looking at me with that "come hither and smoke me look",,,I look around and nobody is watching. I contemplate the idea and then decide,,,,nahhhhhh. Now then, if I was a bum that would be a totally different deal. I always wondered why bums don't walk into a cigar place looking for these?

As with all things in life, if there's ever a doubt, no matter what the situation or question at hand, then don't do it.

As for me though, there is no doubt; I ain't smokin a cigar that's hangin out in an ash tray!!! Even if it's mine. If it's out and it's in the tray, then it ain't gettin smoked. It's there for a reason...because it's life is over!!!!
