  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The Padilla 1932's are great sticks I don't think you will be dissapointed.

However, I would recommend trying the stick before purchasing a box in the future!

I don't think you're the only one who does this there are a lot of sticks for one to try and if we stuck with those we've already tried we would never discover any thing new. With that said the reviews people post are a good reference point for sticks we might be on the fence for or some thing we've always seen in the shop but never thought about trying.

Buying for the good deal. That's starting to get in the territory of a woman's mentality at a mall. "but honey look how much I saved" Don't mention the fact she "saved" that $40 by spending $200.

I buy boxes like this sometimes, but only if I had desire to do so already. The fact there's a sale definitely makes the urge stronger. I've been good lately and have not bought anything since October!

I have never ordered a box like you. But was Just on Holts web site and was ordering a 20 ct 4 sampler from there High noon yesterday. Pepin Blended house brand at 35 percent off plus free shipping. I got as far as all my info in plus adding another Pepin master house sampler went to click add payment and clicked off holts web site. Really didn't need them and just thought I saved myself another hundred bucks.

I did that a bit when I first started buying cigar, picking up a lot of "good deals" on CBid. I ended up with a lot of cigars that I didn't really want or need. The Padilla 1932 is a good stick though, and if you don't like them you can easily sell or trade the rest.

My first couple of purchases were boxes. I won't make that mistake again! It's easy to post an ISO thread asking for a trade or buy a couple of cigars you are thinking of buying.

I can see why you did buy the box though, but tastes are subjective. There are an awful lot of people that smoke Backwoods & Black & Milds, but you won't see me smoking them.

I just bought a box a Tat Noellas and padron Londres with out ever smoking either of them. I know plenty of people who have similar tastes as me, so I wasn't worried about it. I was right yummy.

I did as well when I started getting in to cigars. If I find a deal where I get the cigars at $2 or under I would sometime buy it. But now a days I only buy a box if I really like the cigar.

that was my thinking. $12 sticks for about $4 a pop seemed to be worth the risk. 5ers are generally going for $40 on cbid. and if they're not to my liking, i figure it can always be used as ammunition! :assaultri

Oh I have done the same thing more than once. If your doing that with something not many people post about or like you might get stuck with the box. If you buy something a lot of people post about or like, you can post them for sale if you don't like them.

The ISO (in search of) to buy a 5 pack or various vilola of the same mfg is a good way to go. Offer to start a box split with people to lesser your cost burden. If you like them, then buy the box. Happy smoking.

I'm hearing a lot of that "I'll never buy a box unless I've tried one" from the choir. Wonder what will happen when the Drac comes out? Still singing the same tune?

Dude I love the 1932s in both sizes I have (lance and rob). Don't get nervous. Plus like they said if you don't like them you will easily be able to unload them considering you got a great deal on them.

Difference is the starter of the thread never even smoked a Padilla but bought a box based on other peoples comments. Most if not all that bought the Frank when release or when the Drac comes out love the other items that vendor produces so there is little risk buying something they already like.
