  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I finally had a Frank last night. Now I'm not gonna say I'm a cigar snob, but I know what I like and not to often do I try a lot of new things, nor do I try a lot of new things with high expectations.

Nearly all of the reviews I've read on the Frank have been very positive, a few said it could use more time, but the majority loved it. I wanted to hate it, I really did, kinda like the 858 Rosado, I wanted to hate that too. Reason...well, it sucks to love a cigar that you know you most likely won't be able to get any more of.

I nubbed it. Pete you SOB, you made a damn nice smoke here and I didn't buy a freakin' box while I was at Up Down Cigar Shop in Chicago. :cursing: I just didn't buy into it at first, but last night...man, that was a nice cigar! Well done Mr. Johnson.

Wade, Wade, Wade. Never doubt me, a true tat whore. I won't say I told you so. But,,, I DID!!!! hehe
Thing is Bill the first maybe three people I heard talking about it all said the same thing, it was ok, needed more time...blah blah blah. Not till after the boxes were gone did the great reviews start coming in. I fudged up, I should've trusted Pete to begin with, I mean, has he made a bad cigar? Oh well, live and learn. But I'm still kicking my ass!

I'm still waiting to light me first one...
Me too, I have 2 and want to keep 1 forever with the next few release, so I have 1 of each in a collection for a while. Not sure when I'll find the time to smoke the other one.

I hear ya Wade, I'm like that with some of the high end Padron stuff..it sucks to love a cigar that is so hard to get a hold of, or is too expensive to make it worth it.

At least the high end Padron stuff you can get, just for a price. The Franks were what, 8658 total cigars made, 666 coffins of 13 each.

Very true. That does suck. Well hopefully his next Halloween cigar will be just as good, and this time around you'll know to land a box or two.
