Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Just don't freeze them and attempt to smoke them. (They can be frozen and should if ye suspect beetle infestation; but it'll crack the cigar if the temperature changes too drastically)

Thelower the temperature, the slower the aging. But that's still a good temperature so no worries.
I have exactly the same problem as the starter of this thread. Specs being 28 bottle thermoelectric wine cooler, full of empty cigar boxes and cedar bits, 1 pound of Hf65% beads and Hydra Sm unit with a small and a big extra fan. When the cooler unplugged, the humidity is exactly where I want it, but as soon as I plug it in, temperature lowers to 19 degrees celsius (some 66 degrees fahrenheit) but the RH% lowers to some 54-55 and refuses to raise. I've plugged the drain with super duct tape and still nothing.
I have a 28 bottle edgestar and my humidity did that for a while. What works for me is that I use an external temperature controller and turn the dial so that when the unit is on it runs at low to med-low and the humidity doesn't fluctuate as much. When it was on high the humidity would drop rapidly.
