I stopped by a new B&M near me this weekend and picked up a cigar banded "601" and the letters EO on the sides of the band.

This was a pretty large gauge 56 or 58 and probably 6.5 inches. Wrapper was a little veiny but nice in a rustic sort of way. Started off with a lot of pepper, and then settled down a bit. Thing gave a TON of smoke, and also gave me the first nicotine buzz I have had in a LONG time. Cost about $7.00 and I think I may go get some more.

Any one know this cigar :dunno:

Hell yes, love the 601 black and also the red. I also think they are cool because that is the area code where I live!
A bit further south than I am.

My favorite is the blue. With 6 months + age on them, they could pass for a Padron 1926 on flavor.

Yep 601 Blue is a great smoke. I just got one from a brother here in a bomb and have it sitting for the dring range tomorrow.

All the EO stuff is Pepin made - 601, cubao & Mi Barrio, and all very good.
Tip - the 601's can often be gotten at great prices at CI or the devil site.

Love the 601's! My favorites in the Green are the La Punta and the corona. I'm hard pressed to find a better corona for the money than this. In the Red's I love the robusto.
Never had a black or blue. My B&M doesn't carry those two and I haven't pulled the trigger(yet) on any fivers without at least trying one.

green and red. mmmm. the green is one of the few that made me turn green once on a somewhat empti-ish stomach. i know better now. not too many cigars have ever done that to me. one son is a fan of the blues and i keep blacks around for less initiated. so the humi always has 601s in it.
