  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

God of Fire cigars, worth the money?

Perhaps this is a newbie question to ask, but since I'm a newbie hopefully you all will forgive me.

I've been looking at the God of Fire Carlito cigars for a while now, trying to decide if I want to fork over that much cash for a few sticks. I'm a big cameroon fan and I guess what I'm hoping to hear back from some Brothers is whether or not these things are worth the green. I've currently got some Aurora Ltd. Edition preferidos robustos and a Perdomo ESV maestro to try so will a God of Fire carlito robusto top all of these?

I guess this question may not be relevant to some since I've seen people talking about cost not being a factor as long as you like the cigar. Well since I'm a college student I need to know if these are worthy of being a special occasion cameroon smoke. Thanks guys!

you won't know until you try it. I would buy a single and try it. if you like it then you are going to have an expensive habit.

honestly, for the price, i'd prefer an opus. i think the name and limited availability are what drive the gof. just mho.
but as a PT, you can take my advice!

Though I've never tried one, I've also been eyeing them. I must admit it's hard to imagine a better Cameroon stick than the LA Pref or the Perdomo ESV, though.

I'd say they are more readily had than the Opus, considering that they regularly sell the GoF on Cbid. You can get them there for like $11-$12 a stick if you're patient. Whether that's worth it is another story.

the god of fire is a good cammie cigar. I prefer the don carlos blend to the carlito blend personally. however, while they are good, they are worth th ebig bucks IMO

Wade is right the Bears do suck and yet they still own the overall record between the 2 legendary teams. For some reason the cammie wrapper on the GOF is rediculously thin and it's had some construction issues. I've smoked a couple and both did it to me, definitely not an outside smoke!

Wow, I don't understand the people who have had wrapper and burn issues on these, I've smoked a couple dozen of the Carlito double robusto's, at least half a dozen of the Churchill and have a fiver of the Pyramids resting to try later this year. GOF Carlito is one of my top ten cigars. If you love Cammy this is a great cigar, yes costly but it's a nice dense double Robusto that will last a long while. Check Cigarbid.com if you haven't already they go there for around $17.

They are pretty good. I had one gifted to me so I cannot complain about the price. Mine did have a VERY tight draw for the first half of the cigar. A couple of times I almost put it down. I am glad that I stuck with it though.

GOF are a good smoke, but the wrappers on those things are not so good. I would go with the esg ashton, you'll get more for your money. Or you can always smoke a tat.

I have a box of Carlitos in the cooler, and I have not had time to try them yet...

PM me your addy, and I will pop one in the mail to you to try, as long as you promise to post on here if you liked it or not!

decent i would not pay full price for sure. the one i had was pretty good. It may have been the cut i had but i had a hard time getting a lot of smoke. the wrapper held up pretty well on mine. not bad but i like my smokes a little spicier ie tatuaje and pepin
