Holy Crap. Need IPOD help

Hey all.

My daughter is freaking out and driving me nuts.

She came crying to me with her IPod and it is frozen.

Any clue on how to "unfreeze" it.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have the hold switch turned on. You should see a slide dealie on the top of the ipod. Make sure that's off... then try the play and menu button trick.

STEP1 - Plug the iPod in (using the power adapter, not to computer)

STEP 2 - Toggle the Hold switch on and off

STEP 3 - Lay iPod on flat surface

STEP 4 - Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears

I forgot to mention this in my first post...but I have that same ipod...in the same color...

What was the magic code to get it fixed?

Honestly. I don't have a fricking clue. I did everything I was told as stated above and nothing worked. I turned my back for a second and turned back to it and the problem was solved. I think I just scared the shit out of it yelling about it. Worked on the Ipod. Just wish it worked on the wife and kids.

I would have bet on the hold/lock thing being turned on. Guess it was just needing a stern talking to.

Scott, I've had my ipod freeze several times. What I do to unfreeze it is: hold down the center button & the play/pause button. Hold them down for 30-45 seconds. If that doesn't work do the same thing with the center button & the menu button.
I think that this has something to do with putting songs on an ipod that are not off of itunes. Let us know how you make out.
Also google ipod screen froze. I got a lot of info that way as well. Good luck!
