SCHIP pricing question...

I have a 25-dollar "credit" at Famous still (from their Revolution Card offer). I'm wondering if you guys think I should be sure to use it in March...

Basically I'm wondering if the prices on everything at Famous will literally go up on April 1st, or will it be a little while longer? I'm not sure what I want to get, but I don't want to loose the $25 either. But I'd be SUPER annoyed if I went to buy a box of Padrons and, from one day to the next, they went up by $8.

You should do it before April 1st IMO.

For 2 reasons, (1.) Everyone or close to it will raise the prices come April 1st, 2009, that is, excluding the B&Ms/retailers that are going to sell off existing stock at pre-SCHIP pricing as a homage to their customers before raising prices on future orders (I assume this will be few and far between) and (2.) because we still don't know who (as in cigar companies/manufacturers) will find this the prefect time to raise stick prices .02 cents or a nickle a throw.

I know of some that are keeping the prices the same but not all... so I will leave names out.

Who knows... we will have to wait and see.

I may be wrong but it up to MANUFACTURES to raise the price and pass it on to B&M. And I know 1 who has said in repeated interviews is going to eat the whole cost. And thats why he has 100 loyal followers and "Tat Whores" on this board.:togetherl

I heard Pete say that too, and thought it was very impressive. That will make Tats even more affordable relative to the others out there!

Use it now. Get more bang for your discount. We still are unsure of what most manufacturers will do with their pricing, including those that make our private labels. The only sure thing is that prices are not likely to go down.

Agreed, I'd use it now. I made a few extra purchases in anticipation of higher prices to come, but ultimately it's up to you.
