  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hey guys,

I am not sure if this goes against normal BOTL guidelines but I am doing this for a great friend who passed away yesterday to help his wife and kid out.

Paul was a great friend and sales person for me in the state of Florida. I originally made this cigar on request from Paul. I decided to ship the whole allocation to Sabor Havana Cigars in Doral for them to sell and give the proceeds to Paul's Wife and Kid.

If you are interested in these give Sabor Havana Cigars a call at 1-305-436-8860. They do not have the boxes yet but they will put anyone who wants on the list and ship when they receive them next week.

Tatuaje Reserva SW Maduro - Limited Production 5000 sticks/200 boxes of 25
The retail is $325.00 per box.......

I am hoping the picture I tried to upload makes it. In this picture he was explaining to me the rules of what he called "Cigar Shop Hot" using his classic hand gestures. If you run in to me at an event sometime, I will explain the rules as it is too hard to explain in writing.

Thanks for listening and RIP Paul. We miss you brother......

Pete

Nice post for someone that passed, but IMO you are pushing your smokes a little too much around here and getting a tremendous amount of free advertising, sales, and profit from it.

Like I posted to Mark in the thread that was deleted and I will say it to you: I would like to see Pete the cigar lover post and share with us your wisdom, knowledge etc and NOT the salesman that seems to hint at someting new you are going to sell or where to get them.

I am just a member here Pete and do not represent the board.

Headbanger,

I respect your opinion and understand what you are saying. If the board wants to pull the thread I understand. I am doing this for a friend and did not mean for it to be used as promotion for the brand. I was simply making everyone aware of this product in which the money goes to a good cause.
I am sorry if I came across as pushing the brand. I am not here to sell anything. The profit from this is going to Paul's family........

Pete

Sorry for your loss Pete and I think it is an extremely respectable thing you are doing. To help out the family of a friend is all about brotherhood!!

As Headbanger said, he doesn't "represent the board".....

Sorry for the loss!

I'd love to support - but I'm spent... Maybe I'll trade or figure a way to get a few down the road.

Don't be a stranger Pete!

Guys, I appreciate the kind words and truthfully that is all that is needed. I was using this forum to make you aware of it not trying to push anyone to buy it......

I think of you guys as friends and wanted to share a great loss we all had......Paul was one of the best brothers out there.

Pete

I as well as a few brothers on here work as fireman. When we fall on hard times we sacrafice to get the job done to help each other out. Its in our blood and its what we do. I felt this is what you were doing to help a dear friend. I buy cigars I dont need all the time. Did I need these or felt I had to buy them. Absolutely not. But if it makes me feel better to do it and help out a guys wife and kids who just passed, and enjoy a guys smoke who I love as well. Well thats why I have already made the call. Thats just my take. Wondering about what you'll do with the proceeds, will get you nowhere.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, Pete. Hate to hear about a good man going down for the count.

FWIW it didn't seem like advertising at all to me--seemed like fund raising for a family who could use the money...I mean, since you said you're going to "give the proceeds to Paul's Wife and Kid" and all.

Guess I'm not understanding this fully . . . how is he getting sales and profiting from this? If the money is going to a family of a dear friend?

If anything Pete's post represents exactly what BOTL is all about . . . he has the absolute hottest cigar on the market, he could have taken these boxes and kept all the money for himself, but he isn't. Is it because its Pete Johnson that you feel this post is wrong? If it was another Brother selling his best boxes for a needing family, would it be wrong?

Don't like his product? Dont buy it . . . But don't hate on Pete for using his "fame" and resources available to help a family friend.
