  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pete...I know personally how it is to loose a good friend, and I support what you are dong for the family. I have a feeling that those 200 boxes will go fast not only because of the product, but because of the friendship that you have shown to many brothers out there in the cigar world. This is a great thing that you are doing and my thoughts and prayers are with you and Paul's family.

Sorry for your loss.

I appreciate being informed of any new product you put out. Whether I buy it or not is up to me. Keep up the good work.

I stand by most of my statement about the free publicity etc. The money going to the family was not part of the first post nor posted by the time I made my commentary. I am positive my post would have been written differently if it were known earlier. I still feel without getting approval by the people that run this site does not seem right and my other thoughts went to Pete direct via PM.

I have posted and spoken to many people face to face before most of people that posted here joined the board. I try too dang hard to defend the board even at self humiliation and stick my nose where it should not be and make a donkey out of myself.

Everything aside, I know how it is to lose a close friend. All you can do is respectfully remember them with your life which it seems you're going Pete. The sting may last for a little while but eventually it will burn a little less.

I think that is the job of the people running this site to decide what is best for the board, and your post came off a little harsh(to me at least, and a few others from the responses), Pete doesn't need any help selling his cigars and I am sure he is not here to do so. I for one am glad we get a little inside scoop from him on LE's and a LOT of people here are glad as well. I appreciate you standing up for the board and posting this, but there will always be newbs here and we like to feel like part of the community as well. It will take me a long time to achieve the insight and knowledge you have regarding cigars and I respect that considerably. Just some of these things are best handled with respect via PM or just letting the Mods of the board do their job.

I'm very sorry for your loss Pete. I know first hand how bad it hurts to loose a close friend. My thoughts & prayers go out to you & Paul's family during this difficult time. I think that donating the cigar sales is a great testament of your friendship. Hopefully it will be able to help out his family in their time of need.

Nicely done Pete! Sorry about your loss. It is a great gesture to help Paul's family, especially in a time of mourning and need. Well done. Was a nice first post about this situation.

Might I suggest that Eric and David decide what is best for this board, since they both own it. Any problems, take it to a PM please! I know we all have our own opinions, but we all also love our hobby, cigars! That is why this board is unlike any other board. We are family!
