  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Gents,

I received 30 sticks from a 2006 CFCF humidor. 10 OpusX, 10 VSG illusions I believe, 10 Diamond Crown Maximus Churchhill.

They have been aging for quite sometime now, does anyone have any idea if these are limited release smokes, I heard they were but not sure. Trying to decide if I want to break the shrink wrap on each 10er, or try to sell/trade them.

Thoughts, ideas?

Kindest regards,
B

Well, first of all, this goes in the "Trading Zone" room. Second, ye can't acquire CCs in the U.S. They're illegal. Third, read the threads here, they give much information: [ame="http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=10303"]Known Risks[/ame]

Moro,

Sorry if this is indeed the wrong place, I was just trying to inquire information about these particular cigars and not soliciting.

Thank you,
Brandon

For info on the cigars: The humidor was a limited release, but the cigars within are 10 Churchills of each; which are found in the lines' regular production.

Moro,

Awesome thank you! I have never tried any of those lines in that size.

They stare at me every single time I open the humidor!

Thanks,
B

Oh, by the way, if I'm not mistaken, the VSG is the Sorcerer, not the Illusion.

PS - If they want ye to try 'em; why not? Whynot light one today? Ye have 30 anyways...

They are in their original shrink wrap 3 bricks of 10... I am just afraid that I wont be able to appreciate them. So I wanted to either save them for when my palate becomes more advanced, or give them to someone who would be able to.

Last time I had an Opus, I really didn't care for it. I found it overpowering without a great deal of flavor. I know it was at least 2 years old as well. I really enjoy PAM 64's, PAM 80s etc. Strong but full of great flavor. Almost like eating a chocolate bar!

If you like those smokes, then you are easily ready to try the OPus and the VSGs again. Smoke one of each and if you don't like em, post some picures and sell or trade them. You might wan to check out the newbie sampler thread first. That way you can establish yourself as a trader and then move into the larger sales and trades.

The VSGs are fantastic cigars. I would really commend trying one and deciding for yourself. I have found them among my favs, though they are too pricey for my budget right now. The Opus's are also pretty good, but I like the VSGs more.

Happy smoking!
