  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hey Brothers,
Heard some interesting news yesterday, just wanted to share. It seems that C.A.O. producer of CX2, MX2, LX2 cigars have sold selling rights to the CX2 and the MX2 to a cigar retailer out of New York. This will be the only way to purchase these cigars. I found this out when making an order for my shop. Just wanted to pass on this handy info...

So will they still be available through my local smoke shop, or only through this new retailer? It'd be a shame if I no longer had them local - I'm rather fond of the Mx2 =/

All the best,

I know Famous is supposedly the only "ongoing" source for the Cx2 (I'm sure once stock is depleted everywhere). They've effectively made it a private label.

That's correct, it's a house brand now for Famous. However, I read somewhere that Famous would offer them to retailers at a discount still. They're a good stick, imvho. But I'd buy them from Famous anyway, because they're always cheaper than my local B&Ms.

Heard about Famous buying the CX2 a couple months ago, but don't know about the MX2. I always thought the CX2 was overpriced and had a crappy wrapper.
The MX2 is great, tho!

We (Famous Smoke Shop) have exclusivity on CX2 cigars. We do distribute the brand through our wholesale channel but have not aggressively advertised it yet. I have not heard anything about MX2 being farmed out anywhere but I'll look into it.

I do know that they made a new MX3 blend exclusively for Drapers in D.C. recently, however.

Follow-up...

I confirmed with CAO...

MX2 is still a core brand for them. It's not being handed over to anyone.
