I've heard and also have come to the conclusion that cigar ashes or anything ashes, are great to clean your teeth and silver!
Want whiter teeth? Use the cigar ash that was left!
Your woman want's to clean her silver jewelery? Use the cigar ashes that where left!

The smoke it self makes them yellow, the ash is a cleanser. It's one of the natural ingredients to make toothpaste. :stretchgr

When I was younger, my grandparents told me stories about how they brushed their teeth with ashes when they couldn't afford toothpaste. They used the ashes from their wood burning stoves but I don't see how cigar ash would be any different. When I was 8 I tired it once, and it wasn't as bad as I thought.
