Jay-z is on the cover of the latest issue of CA!!! That's crazy! Ive been following his career since 1996... I was 16. Love him or hate him, he is now a multi-millionaire with countless enterprises in his repatua... Married to Beyounce (imagine tappin' that ass nightly...OooohWeee!)

Makes for some interesting bathroom reading!

I know that hip hop is not everyone's taste...but he is a pretty amazing person for what he was able to build from practically nothing. He was able to make a little money from his talent and really turn it into a lot of money through several successful business adventures. He then continued to use his talent to continue to push the envelope of the hip hop scene through both his own songs but also through his production company. Pretty cool life story overall.
I saw it on the cover and cannot wait to read the article!

I'm a huge hip hop head, but I never was able to get into Jigga.

I know he was the biggest thing since sliced bread for about 6 or 8 years, and is one of (if not THE) biggest selling rap artists of all time...but I just don't much care for his work, even tho it is really quite good.

Seriously, naw...it's his voice, man. I just don't like it.

The music is always good, I love the production on his joints, and I recognize that the man has dropped a lot of seriously classic shit. But his VOICE just gets on my nerves. In short bursts it's fine, but an entire album of it? No way, uh-uh.

There's just some people like that with me. I mean, I can't take a whole damn album of Bushwick Bill, either. :music:

I like more of his older albums... Reasonable Doubt, In my life time, Hard Knock Life, Life and times Vol3... and Collision Course was a sweet album...

Jay Z is not for everyone. I've owned almost all of his albums. As far as hip hop goes, I don't listen to as much as I used to, just a handful of artists and Jigga is one of them. He really has come a long way and matured a great deal. I guess that's why I still listen to him. I was pleasantly surprised to see him on the cover.
