Has anyone done this recently? Seems like there are listings for Opus, some of the HTF Tats, etc. showing up. I know that since the listing says "bands", I could end up paying lots of $$$ for pieces of paper, but if I investigate the seller's history and he has all positive feedback, I'm wondering if it might not be worth the risk. Anyone have a recent good/bad experience??

Could you leave negative feedback if you actually did get just bands? Think about it, you bought exactly what the auction listed.

Some of the selllers, sell just that. Cigars. So I think with a good pos. feedback. The only that is going to hurt is your wallet! Some of the prices are re donk u lous! (Sorry Donk)

I've gotten plenty off Ebad and only had one problem, which I returned with little effort. If your not sure about the listing ask the seller if the cigars are included. They often keep it on the low to keep their listings from getting pulled by Ebay admins. Selling "bands" or "boxes" is the way cigar sellers get around the Ebay no tobacco for consumption rule. They didn't invent it as a scam. If in doubt get a response that says there are cigars included an pay with Pay Pud and if anything goes wrong you'll get a refund. Only thing to be aware of is I've seen some obvious fakes of Vintage cigars (stay away from the Jars with a label slid in for stupid big bucks). Also, heard of fake Opus Chili Peppers but never seen one up close.

Anyway fairly safe is my vote and if they don't know what they have, there are some major deals to be had.

I have bought entire collections on that site and have never had a problem. I always communicate with the seller before I bid and stay away from someone who has no feedback history. I have noticed more items listed this year and slightly higher prices on HTF stuff.. but there are bargains to be found.

most of the sellers will put a disclamer in their auction that says the cigars are collector items and not for consumption. The best advice has been posted already: use ** and only but from sellers with positive feed back

I picked up a 3pack tin of Opus X PerfecXion 2 on there recently. $53.50 for the three pack plus shipping. The tin was still sealed when it arrived, and the bands and cigars contained therein look to be in pristine condition. I'm a happy camper.
