Wondering if anyone has any comments or experience similiar to what I am experiencing with Padron cigars.

I am still a somewhat new smoker and so the Padron has been the best that I have smoked at this point. The first 2 sticks were the 3000 natural and were outstanding and unlike any other cigar I have smoke at this point.

Problem is that every padron stick I have smoked since has not even come close to the level of flavor that I experience in those first smokes. I have smoked the 3000's, 4000's, 5000's, maduro and Natural and not gotten the same flavor. I have tried 5 packs from online and from different local shops and same results. The padron is still my favorite I just cant seem to find that same full outstanding flavor from the first initial smokes.

I have some of the 1964 series waiting in the humidor that I have not tried yet but still wondering if I am missing something here.

Thanks in Advance

what you were drinking could have an effect on flavor nuances, also if the whole cigar was just a little different maybe humidor conditions could play a role? or your own palette has changed a little?

I'm also a relatively new smoker, and I found my problem to be in the lighting of the cigar. It's touchier than my GF 7 days out of the month

are You using a torch or a soft flame?

^^^ yes... Let your sticks sit in your humi for atleast a couple of months at a stable temp/humidity. Especially the ones you buy online.

Humidity can also play a huge role. Also... And i dont know how many brothers here agree... But i usually find cigars to lose alot of their flavor if smoking outside and it is too cold. Usually if its colder than say 55F i just wont smoke.

yeah, check your humidity and what you're drinking/eating before or with your smokes. Padron tend to be my "recalibration" cigar for my palette because of their consistency.

Also, if you are smoking outside, air movement can change the flavors of the cigar.

Really there are so many factors that cause a cigar experience to come together. It's one of the wonders of our passion.

I am an avid Padron smoker, the 0000, 64, and 26 are stable cigars for the same reason Trumpetchris mentioned above. If you are finding inconsistencies, then it is most likely caused on your end or where you are buying them, imo.
