What's your go to ammo for your personal defense gun? I used to be a Federal Hydra Shok guy when it came to my 1911, but then I met the Hornady TAP and fell in love. It's expensive, but nothing else has come close to the accuracy and reliability.

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

That's what I use as well!
Now when my bad guys are protected by a bulldozer blade I use those bullets from Lethal Weapon 3 (I think it was three).

Hate to bust the myth, but Conical 9mm AP rounds can't punch heavy steel like that and were not designed to go through a vest either, although they can. It was designed by Cops aka LAPD Swat to go through car winshilds and doors without major changes in trajectory. Very sucky part of them is they are hole punchers and are lusy at taking a person down quickly.
Oh yea, and the possesion of any AP round designed for a pistol is a Felony.
