Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
That would be sweet...Sorry to hear, You could look for a better job? I know market sucks but wouldn't it be great to come back and say "See Ya"
You know what they say about snitches? They always get stitches...:nono: Yea if you got a union rep have em fight for you. Unless they deemed you the "Safety Rep" if not ask did they hire you to work or babysit? My .02So, what have you learned from this- you see someone do something stupid - tell someone :nodlaugh:

Plush hope you never get fired for a unjust cause. You'll have to tell your kids how you got fired by a asswhole manager because he had a bad day and you had no Union representation. Just curious do you own a business?
Are you serious! Dude, if someone did something that is wrong, why should you not say something. The OP did not really elaborate, but come on, take some Fing responsibility for your actions. I can't believe people have posted, "talk to your union re", blah, blah, blah. That is why unions suck. Where is the responsibility, the accountability. I guess it depends where you live or an age thing. But in my house, I tell my kids wrong is wrong. Whether you do it or see it done. Make it right. Yeah, some times it sucks but learn from it and don't expect some else to fix it for you.
Well Said! The lesson I learned is to never get comfortable and when it comes to a paycheck and quality of life.... true friends will never do anything to jeopardize YOURS. In addition, I learned to constantly network and have another option available at all times.... the company cares about your work, not you..... they can always find someone else to do your work... and usually for less money.
And about unions..... I currently manage 1000 union employees. In MY situation... all I can say is that the unions do everything they possibly can to stifle productivity, reward bad behavior, villianize excellence, and inhibit accountability. It is pathetic. There is no hope of ever building any type of single organizational culture that rewards excellence and continuous improvement as long as management and the rank and file are constantly mistrustful of each other and the union strives for the acceptable level of mediocrity when it comes to responsibility and performance.
