How about the Camacho Room 101 cigar....any lovers of this stick out there?

Never smoked one, but it got a pretty good write-up in the latest edition of SMOKE Mag., and is another that I haven't seen/heard a lot about on forums.

I've had one, and I'd be hard-pressed to buy another for ~$8.00 just to be "fair" and give it another shot.

I personally like them but they are a bit overpriced in my opinion.

I wish JDN would bring back the Serie C to the States! :cbig:

I never see anything about Gran Habano, but every stick I've had by them was really good.
Also I got a box of Nicaro (famous) on a whim and I have to say It was very good. Nice creamy, earthy smoke.

Well....that's sadly the news I was hoping for on the Room 101.....I don't need more cigars to try/seek out....LOL!

In retrospect.....I prolly shouldn't have started this thread if that were the case, huh??....:headroll:

And now that I think about it, there was a pretty huge (2 page or so) advertisement/layout on the Room 101 in the mag.,....not saying that had anything to do with the review, but it certainly couldn't hurt it (think Padron & CA).

tried a 101 a couple of weeks ago. started off harsh, then settled down to just an average stick for me. won't revisit as there are too many better sticks out there.

Couldn't agree more on the Viaje. But, I would call it more of an "unknown" cigar than an underrated cigar. Outside of this board and a few other places, I dont see the line talked about much at all, let alone the Platinos in general.

And BTW, aren't you glad I talked you into trying them? :grinFU:

Tried a quick search, and didn't really see any threads similar to this....although they very well could exist. So if it's a duplicate my apologies.

I'll start off with a stick that I don't see a ton of info on here, yet I see a bunch of fan fare over the Exclusivo, Holiday blend etc.

The regular Viaje Platino is a damn fine cigar....only have had the Chiva, but really digging the change of pace it provides compared to other Nica Puros.

Honorable mention for me:

Tabacos Baez
Cubao
601 Oscuro (Green)

Anyone else??

I am gonna have to go with OpusX and Tatuaje Brown labels on this one.... :|

Kidding aside.... I really enjoy the Xikar HC Habano Colorados!

**sigh**.......Yes Tj, as much as it pains me to say, I am glad you talked me into buying MORE cigars.....as it pertains to the Platino specifically that is.

It's going to be a staple summer time, kick back with a brew, hang out and relax, cigar for me (but it's GREAT on the golf course too :eyebrow:).

I've said it before, but one of the beauties of this smoke is how "clean" the finish is. It absolutely won't ruin your taste buds to actually truly "taste" the 2nd cigar.
