home made pipe rack w/ pics

My dad made this pipe rack for me. He has taken up blacksmithing as a hobby and made the brackets. The shelves are spalted maple. the pipes from left to right are. Boswell, Boswell, mine, mine, mine, mine, my dads, and Dr Grabow- mine and my dads being pipes that we made.

How come you dont put the screws through the holes in the brackets instead of using wire to hold it up?

I used wire because I didn't want to put four big holes in the wall at my apartment.
