  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Summer temps arrived this week and my fridge is still full of spring beers and everyday/"maintainer" beers. It's time to rotate some stock and I need some new summer beer recs. So what's your favorite?

I generally drink heavy ales and stouts year round but lately have been drinking a few Land Shark lagers and they go well with the warmer weather.

One of my new favs is Wittekerke. It's a Belgian Witbier. Good and tart not too much body so it's real refreshing. Blonde ales are good and I'm going to make a Belgian-style saison ale.

I like my beer dark, strong & sweet, regardless of the season. Have a case each of Bells Expidition Stout, Dogfish Head Palo Santo & Zywiec Porter.

I like Full Sail Sunspot IPA series as well as Session. Harpoon summer is good and I always keep some good German Whit around. Cream Ales are also kept in the fridge. Laughing Dog and Pelican Breweries both making great examples.

Brand wise, Stone Brewing and Port Brewing. When I can get to the San Diego area, The Alpine Beer Company brew some wicked concoctions. I like DARK and crazy retarded hoppy IPA's. In a pinch, I will drink Coors and XX amber.
