  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I think im in trouble...

 Yeah I just picked up a few things that I've been wanting to try last night. You can certainly get into trouble on there if you don't watch yourself. For me the enjoyment is in picking up cigars at a great deal so if the price isn't right, walk away. I've seen stuff go for more than what they charge retail and that's just plain ignorace. It also helps if you enjoy the not so popular brands as they generally get less bids than say Padrons (still have yet to get a good deal on those at an auction site :closedmou). As for the wifey, I usually tell mine that I paid way less than what I would have at the B&M. While she still doesn't think I need all the cigars I have, she accepts that at least I'm not spending a ton of money...at least not yet.

LOL, yeah it is a good place to pick up some deals. The only thing I do is put a max bid on them for at least 25% below MSRP. I have gotten some really good high end smokes for 60% below MSRP. If I win I am happy if not just wait and usally the same smokes come up again.

IMHO, you should stay away. Better deals can be found with a little searching and it is too easy to buy more than you planned. I went through a pretty bad period with CBid and I haven't gone back in almost a year. Since then, the quality of my stash has gone up and at a better price than I ever could have got there.

You really have to watch out cuz some of the bidding goes far above the deals you can get on a Daily Deal or on a Jam, etc. They are the same warehouse......Be careful and do a minute or two of research before you bid...This is from a cbid junky
