  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How many times......

You have to take it one day at a time. Then I usually cave in within the week. :cbig:
This I can relate to...

Always start out strong....."nope, I don't need those"......And then the dreaded "box split?" suggestion just magically seems to appear...

And I'm done.....it's over. I lose....Humi wins.

Every time my overflow humi gets full to the point I am having to buy humidipak bags to store sticks in. Then I think if only I could build a coolidor and the wifey gives me that "I'd better be getting my pool before you spend another nickel on a cigar storage device!" look.

I've tried a few approaches so far to limit acquisitions. Cold turkey just doesn't work for me. Involving my wife in the process as a gatekeeper was working for a little while, but lately just leads to more fights with the wife and more purchases she doesn't know about.

I think the best approach I have so far is to write down every purchase and keep a running total. Every month I divide that total by the number of months I've been keeping track to figure my monthly average spend. I haven't quite managed to stay within my ideal monthly budget, but I do manage to keep the number reasonable.

Something about having the actual figures staring me in the face makes it easier to say "hrm, maybe I don't need to chase this LE..."
