Just got the newest Cigar.com catalog. Don't recall seeing so many new releases at one time.

Ave Maria - This cigar looks nice. AJ Fernandez makes some great cigars.

San Miguel - Another nice looking cigar.

Macanudo Cru Royale - I'm not a fan of Macanudo really.

Macanudo Maduro Vintage 1997 - These don't look half bad. I'm a Maduro fan so they look good. They come with a stainless steel cigar band. Unique...

Particulares - From same factory as Padilla Miami, 1932, and Illusione.

Man O' War Armada - I've heard some great things about the other Man O' Wars. Very pricey though.

La Gloria Cubana Series N - These things look damn good. Love me some Maduro's. I hear great things about LGC.



Some of these look pretty promising.

I would like to try all of AJ Fernandez's new cigars but I haven't heard particularly glowing review about anything but the Armada. I understand the Ave Maria and San Miguel cigars are like watered down, less interesting versions of smokes he already makes. And I'll wait on the Armada as well, until I see what some of the brothers have to say about it. 20 bucks is a bit expensive compared to the litany of cigars I can get for 10 bucks that are great.

I thought Particulares, a brand within the Casa Fernandez line up, have been available for some time. They are available in robustos, toros, torpedoes, and Churchills. Do they have a new vitola?

Just tried the san miguel and ave this past weekend and didn't care for them too much..hopefully I'll get my hands on the armada sometime in the future; they sound really good. As Master Shake said though, they are pricey.

Those things have been a nightmare. Not only are they not the greatest tasting. But General didn't pack them right, I know of quite a few retailers that shipped them back because the bands actually ended up chipping wrappers.

As to the larger point, after August is normally the big time. That's not that many, four of those have been out for a few months. It takes stuff a while to get on the catalogs, fortunately.

And I saw some of the La Gloria Cubana N while perusing the local over the holiday. The wrapper on those things looks damn good. I may have to go back and pick up a few :grin:.

I tried the La Gloria Serie N. It was a decent cigar; not particularly complex or interesting IMHO.

They don't show it on the catalog pics, but its a Maduro wrapper with a Connecticut "N" on the wrapper. Pretty cool.

The Macanudo Cru Royal I had was pretty good. I would def smoke another one.

Have smoke a lot of the new releases here are my thoughts for what it's worth. Reviews of some can be seen on the blog.

E.P. Carillo Core Line - fantastic cigar at a fantastic price - would buy a box

Tatuaje Verocu No. 5 - great stick at a great price $4.50 per - bought a cab

La Gloria Serie N - awful stay away - pass

Macanudo Cru Royale - surprisingly good, a little pricey for what you get - would buy a 5 pack

AJ Fernandez San Lotano - have smoked all 3 varietes liked them all - would buy a 5 pack

Illusione Singulare Phantom - loved it, little pricey but better than the Verite and cheaper - box or 5 pack

J. Fuego Origen Soft pack - good stick better price - bought a couple of the soft packs

Guillermo Leon Signature - awesomely complex cigar at a reasonable price - would like to buy a box

Drew Estate Dirty Rat - Great smoke, $12 corona but worth the $$ I think - would like a box

Avo Heritage - Not your typical Avo and I liked it - probable buy a 5 pack or 2.

There is more but that is all I can think about at the moment.
