  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The T52 is my #1 cigar too, Clint. Though there are a couple better ones on the planet, for the money and availability, the T52 wins.

Have YOU tried the T52 Flying Pig yet? You MUST, and asap (so you have a chance to stock up, lol). IMVHO, the T52 improves a lot with age, and the FP tastes like the aged ones do (in the last 1/2 of the piggie, at least) already ... that is to say, amazing!
I have tried the T52 Pig, and I honestly like the robusto and toro better....Call me crazy!

I do have some #9 Pigs as well....Still like the T52 robusto :)

To me the LPs all improve in terms of flavor as they age (same components, just more depth and the flavors "mesh" together perfectly after they've rested for a bit), though they loose some of the punch--worth the trade-off to me. They need to be smoked slowly, as you found out already I'm sure. I felt like the 2nd half of the Pig tasted like a well-rested Toro/Robusto, which is really saying something. So if the Pigs improve with age as well, I think they'll be spectacular.

I found the one T52 FP I've had so far to smoke a lot like the #9 FP ... needing to be smoked very slowly. Despite the smaller size, they take me just as long as the robustos and don't heat up until the very end. Incredible construction, and just plain fun in terms of the unique size.

I smoked two of these last year, and they were memorable only because of the rave reviews that they received, while to me they were not so much.

YMMV I guess...:dunno:
