Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
correct answer, beads would be a waste of time.Use Super absorbent polymers instead of beads or foam. They hold a lot of water and won't spill. I've used them for years and they work great.

Are those the same water crystals I see at craft stores like Michaels and MJ Designs and Hobby Lobby?Use Super absorbent polymers instead of beads or foam. They hold a lot of water and won't spill. I've used them for years and they work great.

:ccowboy: LOL... I guess I'm the one of the new guys :waving: I havn't been that in a while, but ok......
The reason I ask about the beads is I happen to have about 10 pounds of 70% beads, and I'm not impressed with the calibration of the Humi-care (Hydra), can't comment on the oasis as I do not own one.
The beads have always been a solid choice, but I'm a gadget guy and thats why I have the Humi-care xg1000. And FWIW they humidify even when the fans are not running... I'm guessing all the electronic ones do, but again I can only speak on the one I own and have experience with.
So: Only because I have the beads is why I asked the question.
hey Ron, how about using gel crystals in the accumonitor containers?
