  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've made ice cream in lots of interesting flavors (Guinness and dark chocolate is my favorite), but I can't imagine how you could make cigar ice cream taste good. I'll stick to smoking mine!

I have to side with Skitalets on this. In this instance, the whole is not greater than the sum of its parts! IMHO
I'd be willing to try, but smoking a good cigar paired with vanilla bean ice cream, or pumpkin ice cream, or green tea ice cream, or any other ice cream seems like the optimal idea. Who knows though, I've got an open mind if someone wants to try their hand at this for one of the herfs.

Depending on the cigar and the recipe, they can mix very well.

Did a semi-frozen coffee custard back in 2006 with the Paul Garmirian 15th Anniversary cigar mixed with espresso. Quite a head turner.

How did you do the custard? Did you steep the cigar and coffee in the hot custard and then strain them out? About how long did you steep them?
