Now I think Ive become such a hop head that the Octobers just dont do it for me the way they used to!

Same here... I've been reaching for the hoppy beers lately. I still love the Octoberfest beers & pumpkin beers though.

I tried convincing my wife that we should have bought the Bell's Oktoberfest last time we were at the beer store but she wanted the damn Sam Adams variety pack. Sometimes I like variety packs but usually I just want a full case if I know it's good brew.

My wife and I are headed to Munich for the first 6 days of Oktoberfest!!! We're pumped! I'll report back on the festbier!

When are you headed to Munich? My wife and I will be there as well starting on September 28th. Maybe a smoke up is in order!

I need to get out of my comfort zone, and try some of these beers. Every year I hear nothing but good things about Octoberfest offerings, and have yet to venture out. I am hitting Total wine tonight to see what they have, and will be letting you know what I think of the oct fest beers I try.
