Ceramic heater

What do you guys use to stay warm in the winter? With the brisk AZ winter starting in two months I saw a Lasko heater at Sam's club for $50 today. I read some reviews online and they look pretty good, but everyone uses this indoors and I want it for my patio. I do not want one of those large umbrella type propane heaters because they take up to much room and I only need to keep myself warm on a chilly night while smoking. Anyone use one of these:

My AZ blood is thin. 70 Degrees and I'm wearing a ski hat (could be because I don't have much hair left)

I am right there with ya. below 65 and I have the heat on in my house.

I have 2 heaters the barely kept me warm last year in the shed. This year I have a much smaller shed.

you should be able to be in a tee shirt until it gets into the mid 40's with no humidity...

We moved to Utah from Texas a couple years ago and it was awesome, it would be in the 20's and I could manage with a pretty light weight North Face...Love me some cold weather, cant wait to go back to see my family up there during Xmas...Ready to see some snow

Just bought a house a few months ago that has a 3 season sunroom. It's gotten pretty chilly here in MD the past week. I have a 2-in-1 Radiant/Convection heater that pumps out 5,000 BTU's that worked great years past in a garage if you sat next to it, not sure its going to be enough to keep my sunroom warm in the dead of winter.

I'm thinking I'm going to get one of those heaters that sits on top of a propane tank. Weighing the cost of electric vs propane.

Depending on how cold it gets in AZ, not sure if a ceramic heater will cut it.

I use a table top propane heater, (the kind that looks like a lamp with a big shade on top), under a gazebo with the bug screens zipped up to keep out the breeze. Good down to about 40 degrees without long johns. Hook it up to a grill tank and it's good for 2-3 weeks.

When its "chilly" I usually have a small bonfire where my garden is in the summer (the ash helps it grow too). If it gets cold, I go into my laundry room out in my carport. Its a 8x12 room. I have a ceramic heater about 1/3 the size you show there. I usually just sit it in front of me and turn it on almost full blast. Then have a small fan blowing the smoke out the cracked door.

For $50, Id get atleast one.

We just use an infrared heater inside the RV to keep it warm while we are out in the winter. If it gets cold enough outside, the propane furnace will kick in occasionally to keep it evenly warm. I try to keep it over 65* inside so that I can wear whatever is comfortable for smoking that night.

Wow.. with the last months of 115 here in the east valley, its hard to even think of a heater! Relatively new to the PHX area, only my second year, and my blood hasn't acclimated yet..

Funny...here in IL I keep the house set at 60-65 in the winter to keep the heat bill down. Anyhow that unit would probably be alright as long as your not hitting 50 or less with a breeze. I had a similar heater in my basement here in IL for when i felt like playing the old original xbox. Team that up with a pair of jeans and a jacket and I am pretty sure you can handle whatever that...bitter cold(?) winter will throw at you.

No kidding. In Texas I rarely ever use my house heater. Only time I ever need a heater is out at the ranch during deer season.

Been in the 40's here at night and I've yet to turn on my heat. You must have real thin blood.
Get a heater like they show and it'll keep you super warm and if your lighter runs out of fluid just touch the cigar to it. :smokingbo
