• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Slow smoker? Fast smoker?

Robusto is my preferred size. Usually 60 minutes + Then again I have a bad habit of being too social and having a number of relights in there :) If I just really paid attention and kept one going I'd say no more than 60 minutes. Each cigar can be a bit different though.

    Humidor or Coolidor?

100% preference. I had a few hundred cigars among various tupperdors. I decided that wasn't for me and am consciousy obtaining humidors to replace them. More work? Yep. Fits my preferences better? Yessir. To each their own :)

    New Humidor Suggestion

Good info thanks! The biggest problem with the DM stuff after looking through it is the capacity. Most of them are 100ish while that usually translates into more like 70-75 at best (and sometimes even less). I'll keep my eyes out some of the 150ish capacity ones are nice!

    New Humidor Suggestion

Thanks for your suggestion but if you note in my original post I noted that I didn't want to do the *dor route anymore. I was going in a different direction due to preference.

    New Humidor Suggestion

Yep QI is definitely on my no no list :) I've thought about custom - but that comes with a price. Just need to determine if I'm willing to spend the money :) whereas for far cheaper I can choose to possibly fight to keep a cheaper solution properly humidified (at least I know what I'm...

    CFW donation time

CFW=http://cigarsforwarriors.org/ Many cigar shops are "collection stations" so you don't have to mail your cigars - you can just drop them off. There's a list of local areas on their site.

    CFW donation time

My humidor is over full (along with a tupperdor). It was time to organize as I was going through it today in order to grab some cigars for a poker night. As I did so I put aside the cigars I knew I'd never get to and I'll be dropping them off at our CFW location (which happens to be where I'm...

How many flames is you preference 1, 2, 3, 4

I have always gravitated towards single flame (i actually love my converted zippo). But I will use different lighters for different times as needed. Outdoors on a windy day? I probably have a 4 flame in hand. At the lounge? I might even have a soft flame on me because thats what I grabbed.

    New Humidor Suggestion

Do you consider Warranty? Before buying any Cigar Accessories??

I dont generally take into account the warranties but you will find me pretty much rocking Xikar everything. The quality is there and as a bonus they'll fix, sharpen, replace, etc with no problems. I started out with the Xikar stuff and keep rocking it. It works and they support it.
