  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Is there any solvent that you can use that will cleanse conditioned silica? I know that tolulene and xylene are pretty hot solvents but mabe there are softer surfectants like TSP that can 'scrub' the beads without harming the set point.

    It's kind of like a grandfather clause. I can't think of the exact legal term but it's not an ex post facto issue. They were legal to have and have a clear timeline of when they became contraband (ie. the stamp on the bottom of the box changed from "Made in" to "Heche En" ).

    I was thinking about ordering a couple Boveda packets for the office jar I have but saw the boveda holders and wanted to ask...do you think i need one for the jar? I know the boveda's don't actually have any surface moisture on them but do you think it would help it out or is it just pretty looking?

    Perfectly fine. It's a natural defect in the leaf but should have been selected as a sub-par wrapper IMO.

    Job well done Alfonso. I can see you gravitating more towards this vitola even if it's only 2-3 times a year. You just need the right window of opportunity. A's are my favorite vitola during the football seaon. Smoked another LfD A today during the dismal games that I was able to watch.
