• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    What book(s) have you read or been reading lately?

    The books are so much better than the movies, and I enjoyed the movies.

    Recommendations for DFW CCL class?

    I don't know DFW CCL classes, but I trust the guys on this forum quite a bit, very knowledgeable when it comes to firearms and anything concerning them. If you don't get an answer on here, you may give them a try. http://gunrightsradio.com/forums2/index.php

    LOL, I feel your pain. My last free money went towards a dining room set... :cursing:

    Recommendations on budget friendly .22

    This would be the direction I would take. I have a 30+ year old 10/22 that still works like a top, and the aftermarket is enormous. Magazine fed, semi-auto, fully customizable, low price - they are hard to beat.

    [Habanophiles] Cohiba 1966 Review

    That is my dream cigar, but I have to admit I'm very let down by how this one treated you. Not sure I could spend that kind of coin on a cigar that might come out with those flavors. :(

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

    Partagas Aristocrat - Had some draw problems on this one, was tight on the first two thirds, then the final third wouldn't stay lit. Still got awesome tastes on the first two thirds, so I was fine with that. HL Maduro - Construction was very good, but once again, darn near no taste. Just...

    +1! Good to be reminded of the sacrifice that was given.

    What book(s) have you read or been reading lately?

    The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - I was surprised how good this book was, the movie just ticked me off. Moneyball by Michael Lewis - I'm not even a baseball fan and I really enjoyed this book, extremely interesting. Walt Disney the triumph of the American imagination by Neal Gabler -...

    Mind=Blown!

    Had a box of LP40's sitting there last time I was in. Looked like they had some others too, but I was after something else at the time. :)

    Ever made an impulse purchase?

    Yup, darn near the same gun - HK USP Compact .40 Night Sights - I bought it for my wife to carry, but she hated it. My fault for buying her a gun without her trying it first. Traded it for some backpacking equipment, only had about 50 rounds through it when I got rid of it. I carry a Kimber as...

    Mind=Blown!

    My local B&M seems to have most of the LP's just sitting on the shelf, rarely see anybody grab any. They even have Unico's that I've seen my last few times in there.

    2011 RE Asia Pacific Quay D'Orsay Superiores

    I had one two weeks ago that tasted like it had been soaked in dish soap. I've had it in two cigars before, but I really don't like it. Nearly lost it before I just tossed the cigar.

    Then Opus aren't for you. Give at least one a try if you can get it for MSRP, see how you do with it.

    Opus n00b here

    I've had a few Opus' over the years, but I'm not the type who likes to deal with the rarity or the prices that Opus fans deal with. For the price of some Opus cigars, I'm buying a box, or half a box, of what I consider a superior cigar. But, to each their own.

    Just bought my first box!

    That's awesome, congrats! My first box was a cigar called "420". I bought it before I knew 420 stood for weed, then I was scared to try the cigar in case they were tainted or something, my job drug tests us constantly, therefore I can't take a chance. So, my first real box purchase after that...
