  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Suckling was quoted saying that they are 15% less than Europe, that sounds a bit off. As of Savona's blog a few days ago: Montecristo No. 5 sells for 3.60 Cuban Convertible Pesos (about $4.25) Cohiba Esplendido is 17.95 CUC ($21.50).

    That was my reaction. TS wanted the family privilege on the 858 sungrown deal, Carlito said no... things are changing. Unlike say Fumare/Illusione or Holt's/Ashton, TS is tied to the Fuente family, but is run by a completely separate part of the family.

    I got no issues... except it's currently scheduled for Cigar Warehouse. I'll see about moving it. There's noway more than six people could lounge in a place we aren't supposed to lounge in, particularly that small.

    Custom rolls....

    I guess I should clarify: Johnny-Os with a few months are one thing. I smoked a few with 18 months (IIRC) and they weren't great. I didn't believe it, hence why a fellow BOTL sent some with more time on them to me. I'm not sure with serious age how they would do, but I can't imagine great.

    Johnny-Os aren't exactly known to go well with age. Custom rolls in my limited experience are hit or miss. In general, I found most of the custom rolls (from either LCDH or Cuba) I've had to have had better appearance than your average Habano, but everything after that has been a miss...
